My most recent piece entitled Glass was rather unique in that it was a combination of my older style mixed with whats now become my new style. To explain better the pieces I created traditionally had more of loose Pollock take on them if you will whereas my newer style is more paintbrush centered. Recently I’ve been loading on the thick application of paint thus creating a painterly whirlwind of oily, in this case acrylic-y madness. Glass (pictured below) is basically a mix of both. You’ll notice the background has the swoosh-like paint brushes swaying across it and the actual focal point of the painting is the paintbrush-less splatters of rich paint. This is the first time I’ve done something like this so I’m a little bit anxious but happy I did it. You can never stop experimenting in art even if it means not every outcome will be a success! http://www.royagharaviart.com/glass.php - Enjoy, Roya!
